ADHD and Chemsex Addiction

Let me be vulnerable with you:

I've discovered lately that I sometimes invalidate the experiences of others.

And if you follow my content, you'll know how much I've advised you not to invalide the experience of others.

Because, what we judge becomes our karma (our learning opportunity).

In other words, whatever or whoever you are pointing your finger at is exactly where you could use healing.

And, well, I've been pointing my finger at people who identify as having ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).

I admit that I've based my opinion about the disorder on a close friend of mine. That's some serious projection.

And it isn't fair to you out there living with ADHD.

Today's podcast will explain more about what I mean and my observations about ADHD treatment.

As always, my friend and supervisor, Daniel Gilsenan helped me shift my perspective. And later, as I reflected on our converation I realized that I had been narrow-minded and judgy.

This is why I love doing this work. I learn so much about myself in the process.

And I hope you learn something new after listening to the podcast this week!

Addiction recovery is a complex journey that often involves understanding multiple interconnected factors.

Today's guide explores the relationship between addiction, recovery, and ADHD, drawing on insights from personal stories and expert perspectives.

When struggling with addiction, many people also experience symptoms that align with ADHD, such as impulsivity, difficulty focusing, and emotional regulation challenges.

Research shows that 14-23% of individuals with substance use disorders also meet the criteria for ADHD.

Understanding these connections provides valuable insights for your recovery journey.
